Thermal oil heaters
Overview
Indirect heating of bituminous materials is a critical condition from a quality and safety point of view. Our thermal oil heaters cover a wide range of power to suit all different customer needs.
The thermal oil is heated inside an insulated unit in which thick coils of single tubes are mounted one above the other and arranged to form a chamber into which a diesel oil burner is fired (different burners for other type of fuel are available on demand).
Our special coil arrangement creates an heating chamber where circulating oil is heated up over a large surface area so to obtain a unit efficiency over 90%, turning out in a great cost saving for customers.
The heating function is completely automatic and safe in operation being controlled by a thermostat and a flow gauge for cutting off the burner if overheating takes place or if oil supply falls below required level.
A centrifugal pump, operated by electric motor, circulates the thermal oil through the coils at the necessary speed to ensure proper working of the unit. An expansion chamber, above the heater, provides protection against oil oxidisation.
